Thief Swipes Granny’s Suitcase at Charity Shop
An elderly woman was left shaken after her suitcase, containing her phone and personal belongings, was stolen while she shopped at Willowbrook Hospice in St Mary’s Arcade. The brazen theft happened around 3.15pm on Wednesday, May 18.
The victim had her bag slung over her shopping cart when a thief struck.
Police Hunt Crook Caught on Camera
Merseyside Police are urgently asking the public to help identify the man caught on CCTV, who may hold vital clues to the crime.
“The victim in this case has been left profoundly disturbed by what happened,” said Inspector Leach. “It’s unfathomable that someone would target a vulnerable elderly lady like this. The fact it happened in a charity shop makes the thief’s actions even more despicable.”
