Man Abducted Outside Blackburn Tesco: Police Hunt Key Witness
Police rushed to Tesco on Hill Street, Blackburn, just after 12.20pm on Friday, March 5, after reports that a group of men forced another man into a burgundy Skoda and drove off.
Police Urge Kidnap Victim, Witness to Come Forward
Officers want to trace the man caught on CCTV, believed to be the person snatched. A second man ran into Tesco seeking help and is also being sought by police.
Detectives have arrested three men aged 24, 24, and 26 on suspicion of kidnap. They remain in custody as enquiries continue.
Car Sightings Sought in Gloucester Road and Burnley Road Areas
Police want information on the burgundy Skoda estate with registration KM11 BUO. The car may have been seen travelling near Gloucester Road and Burnley Road between noon and 3pm on Friday.
Detective Superintendent Joanne McHugh said: “We continue to be very concerned someone may have been taken against their will. We are doing everything to verify this and find that person.”
“We urge the two men pictured to get in touch so we can ensure they are safe.”
“If anyone saw the burgundy Skoda on Friday afternoon, especially around Gloucester Road or Burnley Road, please come forward.”
“This remains a serious incident and police will be patrolling the area.”
