Night Out Turns Nasty in Tunbridge Wells – Woman Assaulted at Hotel

What started as a night out in Tunbridge Wells took a dark turn in the early hours of Thursday, 17 February 2022. A woman was allegedly assaulted after leaving a pub with friends and strangers, sparking a police investigation.

From Pub to Premier Inn – The Shocking Chain of Events

The victim and her friend hit a town centre pub on Mount Pleasant at around 10:50pm on Wednesday, 16 February. Shortly after midnight, they left the pub with three men they had just met.

Another unknown woman then joined the group of five before they all hopped into a taxi at Tunbridge Wells train station. The victim’s friend was dropped home first, but the rest continued to a Premier Inn on Pembury Road in Tonbridge. It is here the alleged assault took place in one of the hotel rooms.

Four Men Arrested – Police Hunt Unknown Woman

Kent Police have arrested four men in connection with the incident. All are currently released on bail as enquiries continue.

“We are now looking to identify the unknown woman who was in the taxi and at the hotel,” said Detective Constable Paul Williams. “She is described as mid to late 20s, about 5 feet 5 inches tall with black hair. We urge her to get in touch.”
