Major drug bust hits Blackburn and Great Harwood

Operation Warrior Targets Class A & B Dealers

Under the banner of #OpWarrior, police launched a year-long crackdown focusing on the supply of Class A and Class B drugs, plus burglary offences. The operation has revealed a major criminal network trafficking cocaine and cannabis.

Seizures and Charges Leave Dealers in the Dock

Over the last 12 months, officers seized large quantities of cocaine and cannabis, along with cash, mobile phones, weapons, and stolen goods. Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, a string of arrests and charges have been made.

Blackburn Magistrates Hear Drug Conspiracy Cases

  • Wasim Shah (b. 28/07/1987), Arncliffe Avenue, Accrington – charged with supply of cocaine and cannabis, possession with intent, and human trafficking.
  • Waheed Shah (b. 28/03/1974), Blackburn Road, Great Harwood – charged with supply of cocaine.
  • Hassan Mahmood (b. 11/10/2002), St Edmund Street, Great Harwood – conspiracy to supply cannabis.
  • Yaser Kabel (b. 23/03/1988), St Edmund Street, Great Harwood – conspiracy to supply cocaine and cannabis.
  • Nasar Kabel (b. 10/09/1982), St Cecilia Street, Great Harwood – conspiracy to supply cocaine and cannabis.
  • Babber Maqsood (b. 28/05/1987), St Edmund Street, Great Harwood – conspiracy to supply cocaine and cannabis.
  • Mathew Walduck (b. 08/06/1987), NFA – conspiracy to supply cocaine and cannabis, possession with intent to supply cocaine.
  • Callum Bradley (b. 26/01/2001), Glebe Street, Great Harwood – conspiracy to supply cocaine.
  • Idnan Yakub (b. 25/02/1986), Fernlea Drive, Clayton-le-Moors – conspiracy to supply cocaine.

This crackdown sends a clear message: drug suppliers and traffickers won’t escape justice in Blackburn and surrounding areas.
