Double Rapist Caught After Attacking Women Nearly Three Years Apart in Birmingham
Same Spot, Two Victims
Abdul Khan preyed on two women almost three years apart, forcing them both to the same location in Ward End, Birmingham, where he launched his attacks.
Police Close In With CCTV Clues
Following thorough investigations, police locked onto Khan, gathering enough evidence to charge him with rape relating to an October 2019 assault—before the second attack struck in September 2022.
In the latest attack, Khan lured the victim under the guise of ‘chilling’, then drove her to an address where he violently raped her. CCTV footage helped detectives identify Khan’s car. Crucially, it was the same location as the earlier offence.
Victims’ Brave Testimonies Lead to Justice
The first victim met Khan in a club; the next moment she knew, she was waking up alone in his vehicle. Both women’s brave accounts, combined with damning evidence, sealed Khan’s fate with two rape charges.
Khan Now Behind Bars, Sentencing Looms
The 27-year-old from Raymond Street, Birmingham, was convicted at Birmingham Crown Court. He remains in custody, awaiting sentencing on 12 June.
DC Martin Powell of the West Midlands Police specialist public protection unit said, “These were truly traumatic experiences. Both women were forced into sexual activity against their will. Thanks to their courage in coming forward, Khan has been convicted and is now off the streets ahead of sentencing.”
