Night Out Nightmare: Woman Allegedly Assaulted After Tunbridge Wells Pub Crawl

Party Turns Dark in Early Hours

The shocking incident allegedly unfolded in the early hours of Thursday, 17 February 2022, after a night out in Tunbridge Wells took a sinister turn. The woman and her friend started the evening at a pub in Mount Pleasant around 10:50pm on Wednesday, 16 February.

From Pub to Premier Inn

After midnight, the pair left the pub with three men they had met inside. An unknown woman joined the group before they all caught a taxi from Tunbridge Wells train station. The victim’s friend was dropped home, but the rest headed to a Premier Inn on Pembury Road, Tonbridge, where the victim was allegedly assaulted in a hotel room.

Police Hunt Mystery Passenger

Four men have been arrested and are currently bailed while detectives continue their investigation. Detective Constable Paul Williams is pleading for the unknown woman – described as mid to late 20s, about 5ft 5in tall with black hair – to come forward. She was in the taxi and at the hotel during the incident.

“We are urging her to contact us as soon as possible,” said DC Williams.
