Woman Attacked Near Wateringbury Train Station – Police Release Suspect Footage
A woman was viciously assaulted on Bow Road, Wateringbury, just before 11pm on Tuesday 28 March 2023.
Attack Shocks Local Commuters
The victim was walking from Tonbridge Road towards Wateringbury train station when a stranger suddenly attacked her from behind, knocking her to the ground. She fought back and screamed before fleeing the scene.
Police Hunting Man in Blurred Footage
Detective Inspector Steve Smith of maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone CID revealed the suspect may have tried to snatch the woman’s bag during the assault. “The footage we’ve released is still blurred but might help someone recognise him — maybe a friend or family member,” he said.
Officers urge anyone who saw suspicious behaviour nearby to come forward. Residents with private CCTV, doorbell cams, or drivers’ dashcams should check their footage for any clues.
