Tragic Stabbing at Illegal Rave: Jason Nyarko, 26, Killed in SE16
Young Man Fatally Stabbed at Unlicensed Music Event
Jason Nyarko, 26, lost his life in a brutal stabbing at a makeshift rave on Stockholm Road, SE16, late Saturday, 26 June. The music event, held in an industrial warehouse, turned deadly just before midnight.
Police Plea: Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command appealed for witnesses. He acknowledged many may hesitate to contact police due to the party being illegal and held during Covid restrictions. But he reassured:
“You will not get in any kind of trouble for attending this rave.”
“Even if you think what you know isn’t important, it could be vital.”
“Think of Jason’s family. They deserve justice.”
Officers are especially keen to hear from anyone who saw, heard, or filmed any part of an argument, fight, or the stabbing inside the warehouse.
Family’s Heartbreaking Appeal
Jason’s sister, Goldie Nyarko, spoke for their shattered family:
“Losing Jason has ripped apart our family, devastated our lives and left us heartbroken.”
“He was the glue holding us together – a twin, brother, son, uncle, cousin and nephew.”
“Twenty-six years of happiness – that’s all we had.”
“Jason went for a night out and never came back. Someone took his life in the most horrific way.”
“Please, if you have any information, do the right thing. Help us find justice.”
