Urgent Appeal for Witnesses After Fatal Crash
Police have shared CCTV footage showing the last known images of 23-year-old Sagar Bhatti before his death in a hit-and-run on Woodside Avenue, Eastleigh. Officers were called just before 6am on Sunday, 10 March, after two vehicles collided with Sagar, who died instantly at the scene.
Detectives are desperate to hear from anyone who was in Woodside Avenue or nearby Broadlands Avenue at the time – whether you were walking or driving. Even if you think you saw nothing relevant, police urge you to come forward to help piece together what happened.
Tracing Sagar’s Final Moments
Detective Inspector Macarthur said: “It’s been over seven weeks since Sagar tragically lost his life. We’ve launched multiple witness appeals and conducted house-to-house inquiries. CCTV and witness statements have been reviewed, but we’re still chasing vital leads to uncover the full story.”
On the night before the crash, Sagar was out with friends. He travelled from his night out to Eastleigh by train and was last seen at The Station pub on High Street in the early hours of Sunday morning. The newly released footage shows Sagar in Eastleigh town centre just hours before the fatal collision.
