Massive Firearms Haul in Enfield Bust – 25 Guns Seized!
Guns, Ammo and Workshop Found in Hadley Road Raid
Detectives, backed by specialist firearms officers, stormed a property in Enfield and uncovered 25 firearms along with ammunition. The haul included mainly revolvers, some loaded and ready to fire. The raid took place on Thursday, 23 July, when officers executed a warrant on a Hadley Road address.
Two Arrested Over Suspected Firearms Supply Plot
A man aged 25 and a woman, 44, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply firearms. Both remain in custody as police continue their investigation.
Inside the property, officers found more than just guns. A fully equipped firearm workshop was uncovered in the kitchen. This illegal setup included bullet moulding presses, lathes, bullet cases, and other components for ammunition manufacturing.
Police Warn Guns Were Destined for London Gangs
“London is a safer place after the seizure of these 25 firearms and ammunition, which we suspect were soon to be used in violence and shootings in London. We believe these firearms were obtained from around the UK, the ammunition was manufactured at this address, and the guns with ammunition were then being supplied across London gangs.” – Detective Superintendent Neil Ballard, Specialist Crime Command
Detective Ballard also highlighted a surge in pin-fire revolvers in the capital recently.
Operation Detroit Nets 10 More Arrests
On the same day, police launched ‘Operation Detroit,’ conducting a series of raids across north and east London. This resulted in 10 arrests tied to drugs supply and firearms offences. A separate firearms arrest was also made in Hertfordshire.
Tackling London’s gun crime remains a top priority for police as they crack down on illegal weapons and gang violence.
