Police and ambulance were called to High Street North, East Ham, at 8.30pm on Friday, January 3, after a 70-year-old man was found in cardiac arrest. Emergency crews treated him on the spot before rushing him to hospital where his condition is critical.

Heroic Chase After Suspected Burglary

Before collapsing, the elderly man reportedly gave chase to a suspect believed to have tried to break into a home on Plashet Grove, E6. The daring pursuit ended in tragedy as the man collapsed in the street.

Investigation Underway, No Arrests Yet

Police are still piecing together what happened. No arrests have been made so far as officers continue their enquiries to get to the bottom of the incident. The community waits anxiously for news on the man’s condition.
