Two Indian Students Killed in Horror Crash on A130 Near Wickford
Two young Indian students have died and five others were injured in a brutal two-vehicle crash at the Rayleigh Spur roundabout on the A130 near Wickford. The tragedy struck in the early hours of Monday morning.
The victims, identified as Chaitanya Tarre and Rishi Teja Rapolu, were both in their 20s. Emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after 4.15am on September 1.
Suspects Arrested and Released on Bail
Police arrested two men from Barking, east London, aged 23 and 24, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Both have since been released on bail until November 20.
Five Others Hospitalised After Crash
A total of nine students, all believed to belong to the Telugu community, were travelling together at the time. Five remain in hospital receiving urgent medical care following the accident.

Police Urge Public to Come Forward with Information
Essex Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is continuing its enquiries and appealing for anyone with dashcam footage, CCTV, or witness evidence to come forward.
