Tragic crash claims life of beloved Farningham woman, 78

The family of Brenda Bain, 78, have paid a heartfelt tribute after she died following a crash near Farningham. Brenda’s blue Toyota Yaris left the A20 at Gorse Hill, leaving the community in shock.

‘One of Life’s Characters’

Brenda’s family described her as “one of life’s characters” who led an active, independent life despite losing her husband over 20 years ago. They said:

“Brenda loved holidays, exploring historic sites, and the great outdoors. She lived life to the fullest with energy beyond her years.”

For nearly 40 years, Brenda was a familiar face at local churches and clubs in West Kingsdown. Known for her kindness, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her sudden passing has left those who knew her devastated.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is still hunting for witnesses. The crash happened at around 11.35am on Wednesday 8 August 2018.
