Family Mourns Murdered Mum Lucy Rushton with Floral Tribute
The heartbroken family of Lucy Rushton gathered outside her Suffolk Road home in Andover on Monday afternoon to lay flowers in her memory. Lucy, a devoted mum of five, was tragically found murdered in her home early Sunday morning.
Tragic Killing Shakes Andover Community
Police were called to the scene just before 5:30am on 23 June, where Lucy, also known as Lucy Dyson, 30, was discovered and later pronounced dead. A post-mortem confirmed she died from multiple injuries.
Hampshire Police confirmed a 28-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. Officers will stay in the area in the coming days, urging residents to come forward with any information.
Family Pleads for Justice and Support
“People keep asking if they are allowed to leave flowers for Lucy,” said her brother. “If anyone in Andover or nearby wants to leave flowers, please feel free to do so outside her home whenever you’re ready.”
“Today, as a family we laid ours. We’ve had our ups and downs, but Lucy, I love you so much. My oldest sister was killed by her husband. You will never be forgotten by us or your five beautiful kids. You are in a safe place now. Rest up, we’ll see you soon. We will get justice for you.”
