Michael Deary, 29, has been named as the victim in a shocking Fareham murder investigation. His body was found inside his flat on Omaha Close, sparking urgent enquiries by Hampshire Constabulary.
Tragic Discovery Sparks Murder Probe
Police received a welfare concern call just before 12:40pm on Monday 20 August. Officers rushed to Michael’s flat and found him with apparent injuries to his back. Formal identification procedures have now confirmed his identity and a murder investigation is underway.
The last confirmed sighting of Michael was between midday and 1pm on Friday 17 August. He was seen leaving his flat heading towards Redlands Lane in the company of a man and a young woman, both believed to be known to him. Police want to speak to these two individuals urgently, along with anyone who saw Michael after that.

Chief Inspector Sharon Woolrich from Fareham District said:
