Tragic Crash on A64: Man Dies, Police Seek Witnesses
Police are hunting for witnesses after a fatal smash on the westbound A64 near Fulford Interchange in York. The horror crash happened around 8am on Wednesday 16 March in the inside lane by the A19 off-slip.
Deadly Collision Between Car and Van
The crash involved a black Hyundai i10 and a blue Ford Transit panel van. Sadly, the Hyundai driver, a man in his late 30s, died at the scene. The Transit’s driver, a man in his early 50s, was treated for shock.
Dash-Cam Drivers and Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
Motorists are warned to avoid the area while police investigate. Officers want anyone who saw the crash, has dash-cam footage, or remembers seeing either vehicle before the collision to get in touch urgently.
A number of drivers took evasive action but didn’t stop or report the incident. Police need to speak to them too.
