Local Woman Killed in Reckless Crash on A124 Barking Road
A local woman tragically died after a car blasted onto a busy pavement on the A124 Barking Road in Plaistow. The horrific smash happened around 4:15pm on October 15. The driver, believed to be under the influence of drink or drugs, struck the woman before slamming into three parked vehicles.
Passersby’s Heroic But Heartbreaking Rescue Attempt
Witnesses say desperate bystanders tried to save the woman trapped under the car. Several people tried to lift the vehicle off her, but sadly, she couldn’t be saved.
Driver Arrested, Police Investigate
The driver was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but the severity of the crash was clear. The Metropolitan Police have not yet issued an official statement, but are asking anyone with information to call 101.
