Fire tore through the Tunbridge Wells football club’s clubhouse late Thursday evening, sparking a full-scale investigation.

Crews from Kent Fire and Rescue were called to the ground on Culverden Down. They found the clubhouse completely engulfed in flames. Despite fierce efforts using hose reels and jets, strong winds fanned the fire, making containment tough.

Arson Suspected as Police Join Probe

A source has revealed that the blaze may have been caused deliberately. Kent Fire and Rescue and Kent Police have launched a joint investigation.

The area remains cordoned off as the inquiry continues.

Club Devastated but Relieved No Injuries Reported

A club spokesman said: “Tunbridge Wells FC can confirm there has been a serious fire at the clubhouse on Thursday evening. Thankfully no one was injured. The club would like to thank Kent Fire and Rescue for all of their efforts.”
