Manhunt Underway After Woman Murdered in Andover
Police in Hampshire have launched a huge manhunt after a woman was brutally murdered in Andover.
Partner Held as Prime Suspect
The victim’s partner is the prime suspect in the killing, which allegedly happened in the early hours of Sunday morning. Shockingly, three children were present at the scene on Suffolk Road during the attack.
Victim Named as Popular Mum Lucy Dyson
The 30-year-old mother of two, Lucy Dyson, was found dead shortly after 5.30am on June 23. Her family have been informed and are now being supported by specialist officers. Friends have paid tribute to Lucy, describing her as a beloved figure in the community.
Police Work Around the Clock
Detective Chief Inspector John McGonigle said: “Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.”
He added: “You will see a significant policing presence in the area as we conduct house-to-house enquiries and follow several leads.”
The force is using ground officers and NPAS air assets in an intensive search. While police say there is no ongoing risk to the wider community, they urge anyone with concerns or information to come forward.
