Firefighters Rush to Blaze on The Green
East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service (ESFRS) raced to a commercial property on The Green, Newick at 8:03am after reports of a fire.
Multiple Crews Join the Battle
Firefighters from Uckfield, Heathfield, Lewes, and Brighton arrived with an Aerial Ladder Platform to tackle the flames.
Blaze Started in Electrical Box
Using three Breathing Apparatus sets, a Hose Reel Jet, and a CO2 extinguisher, crews doused a fire that broke out in an electrical box on the property’s upper floor roof.
They then deployed a Positive Pressure Ventilation fan to clear thick smoke from inside the building.
No Injuries Reported
Thankfully, no casualties were reported. Firefighters left the scene around 11:00am after ensuring the fire was fully extinguished and the premises were safe.
