Big Drug Haul: 400 Kilos of Cocaine Seized Off Ramsgate
A fishing boat packed with around 400 kilos of cocaine was stopped off the Ramsgate coast this morning. Four men have been arrested in a major crackdown on drug smuggling.
Three Held at Sea, One Nabbed in London
The National Crime Agency (NCA), working with Border Force and armed officers, swooped on the vessel. They arrested three men on board, aged 64, 45, and 25, suspected of importing drugs. A fourth man, 36, was picked up in Rainham, London.
The operation highlights just how seriously UK agencies are tackling the drug trade along our coastline.
Millions Worth of Cocaine Off the Streets
The drugs seized could be worth millions on the street. The cocaine was carefully removed from the fishing boat and is now part of an ongoing probe into how it entered UK waters.
An NCA spokesperson said: “This seizure highlights the effectiveness of our partnerships with Border Force and other agencies in disrupting the illegal drug trade and protecting our communities from the harm these substances can bring.”
Ongoing Fight Against Drug Smuggling
The arrests and seizure come as part of a wider crackdown by law enforcement on drug trafficking at UK borders. Authorities remain on high alert to stop fresh smuggling attempts and keep communities safe.
