Officers had launched a public appeal after a gun incident at 1 Fields last month. Meanwhile, British Transport Police (BTP) continue probing a stabbing at Hackney Central Station on 1 March.
Coordinated Stop Leads to Multiple Arrests
On Friday 3 March at 7.47pm, specialist firearms officers teamed up with BTP to carry out a planned tactical stop on a vehicle in Essex Road, N1. The operation swiftly ended with five males, aged 16 to 19, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
No Injuries Reported, Investigations Carry On
Thankfully, no injuries were reported during the incident. Police have put road closures in place as inquiries continue.
