Five Arrested After Brutal Teenage Assault in Canterbury

Five youths have been arrested following a violent assault on a teenage boy in Canterbury. The shocking attack unfolded on Whitefriars Street at around 6pm on Thursday, 6 June 2019.

Teen Seriously Hurt and Airlifted to Hospital

Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service rushed to the scene after reports of the assault. The victim, a teenage boy, was flown to hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries.

Suspects Held as Investigation Continues

  • Two 16-year-olds (a boy and a girl) from Canterbury
  • Two 15-year-old boys from Canterbury
  • One 17-year-old boy from Margate

All five have been arrested in connection with the attack. Police are digging deeper into the circumstances behind the incident.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate is urging anyone who saw what happened or has information to come forward. Officers thank those who have already helped and ask others to call Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 06-1409.
