Bladed Attack on Margate High Street Sparks Police Hunt
Chaos erupted at 5:07pm on Friday, June 10, 2022, when a gang of four or five jumped another group near Margate seafront’s bustling High Street. The assailants quickly fled, leaving stunned shoppers and locals in shock.
Armed Police Seize Weapon, No Arrests Yet
Response was swift, with armed officers swooping on the scene. They found and confiscated a bladed weapon, but so far, nobody’s been arrested. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
“We are urging anyone who saw the attack or has video footage to come forward,” said Detective Inspector Vanessa Law from Margate CID. “This includes motorists with dashcam recordings or businesses and residents with CCTV.”
