Multiple Injured in Late-Night Crash Near Inverness
A smash involving a Ford Fiesta and a camper van on the B9092 near the A96 junction has left several injured, police confirm.
Fiesta and Camper Van Collide
At around 11.10pm, an 18-year-old man driving a black Ford Fiesta crashed into a blue Fiat Ducato camper van, driven by a 72-year-old man. The collision happened near the A96.
Multiple Hospitalised
- The 18-year-old Fiesta driver was rushed to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness with injuries. His condition is stable.
- A male passenger, also 18, was taken to the same hospital, described as stable.
- Two female passengers aged 17 and 18 were treated as a precaution and taken to hospital.
- The camper van’s driver and front passenger escaped unharmed.
- A 72-year-old female rear seat passenger in the camper van was hospitalised and is stable.
Police Investigate Cause
Sergeant Alasdair MacKay of the Inverness Road Policing Unit said: “Our inquiries into the cause of the crash are continuing. Despite the late hour, we urge any witnesses or drivers with dash-cam footage from that area and time to come forward.”
