Woman Found Dead in Newcastle Home Identified as Barbara Pawelczyk, 36

Staffordshire Police have named the woman discovered dead at a Newcastle property this January as 36-year-old Barbara Pawelczyk.

Officers were called to a house on Cresswell Avenue just before 10am on Saturday, 2 January, after reports of a woman’s death. On arrival, they confirmed the grim scene.

A 55-year-old Newcastle man was arrested at the location on suspicion of murder and perverting the course of justice. He has since been released on police bail while investigations carry on.

Police Plead for Witnesses to Step Forward

Barbara’s family are receiving support from specially trained officers as the inquiry continues.

“We remain committed to establishing the full circumstances surrounding Barbara’s death. If you have any information, no matter how small, please contact us,” said a Staffordshire Police spokesperson.
