Teen Driver Sparks Chaos at Portsmouth Car Meet – Four Injured
Crash at Late-Night Car Gathering
Emergency services rushed to a car meet in Portsmouth late on January 28 after multiple injuries were reported. Officers from the Hampshire Roads Policing Unit and other emergency teams scrambled to the scene where chaos had unfolded.
Young Driver at the Wheel
The driver was just 17 years old and had only been behind the wheel for three weeks. A young girl was seriously hurt but is now stable in hospital. Several others were thrown along the road and sustained injuries.
Police Seek Witnesses and Footage
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary are urgently appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Officers are especially keen to get hold of dashcam or mobile phone videos that capture what happened at the meet.
“Following the events that unfolded at a Car Gathering in Portsmouth, we are looking for witnesses, particularly those with video footage,” said Hampshire Roads Police. “Four people are being treated for injuries. The most serious case is stable and supported by her family.”
