Thames Valley Police Celebrate Heroes at 2019 Community Policing Awards
Thames Valley Police marked a night of honour on Tuesday at Eynsham Hall, Oxfordshire, celebrating the standout stars of their force at the 2019 Community Policing Awards. The ceremony recognised officers and staff who have gone above and beyond to positively transform local communities over the past year.
Over 400 Nominations Narrowed to Just 14 Winners
The contest kicked off in January, with the public, community groups, police officers, and staff all invited to nominate deserving candidates. More than 400 nominations poured in, but only 14 were crowned winners after tough judging.
“The Community Policing Awards give residents, community organisations and businesses the chance to honour those in the force who have gone the extra mile to make a difference,” said Assistant Chief Constable Nikki Ross, Chair of the judging panel.
“The response this year was outstanding, and the impact our winners and nominees have made on everyday lives across the Valley is truly inspiring. Choosing the winners was tough but rewarding – congratulations to all.”
