High-Tech Hunt Leads to River Towpath Arrests
The van was tracked down nearby. Local cops launched a full search using a police dog named Parker and a police helicopter. Their efforts paid off when they found a 25-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy hiding on the Medway river towpath close to Castle Dene.
Daring River Rescue and Dual Arrests
The 25-year-old plunged into the river but was pulled to safety by officers and Parker before his arrest. He now faces charges of theft, dangerous driving, and driving while disqualified. The teenager was arrested nearby on suspicion of theft and driving offences.
Both were later bailed and ordered to return to the police station on 12 June.
