Kent Police are hunting for answers after an eight-month-old baby was savaged by an XL Bully dog inside a home on Siskin Close, Hawkinge, on Wednesday, 11 December. The infant was rushed to a London hospital and remains in a critical condition.
Dog Seized and Euthanised – No Shooting
Officers swiftly seized the XL Bully involved in the attack. Contrary to rumours, the dog was not shot but was humanely put down by a vet. The police continue to investigate the chilling incident.
Two Arrested, Now on Bail
Two suspects connected to the attack were arrested shortly after. They have since been released on bail as Kent Police probe the case further.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Enquiries are being conducted to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident. Our thoughts remain with the family of the young girl during this difficult time.”
