A man has been shot by armed police in Swindon this afternoon, authorities confirm.
Gunfire Erupts After Police Orders
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were spotted hovering over the scene from around 5.30pm. A local resident claims officers shouted “put the gun down” repeatedly before shots rang out.

Shaw Road remains closed in both directions as officers set up a large crime scene. The dramatic incident unfolded in Ridge Green involving a small white lorry.
IPOC Takes Charge of Investigation
