Granny Targeted in Crafty Waterlooville Burglary
Police are hunting two sneaky burglars after an 80-year-old man was tricked in his own home in Waterlooville.
Thieves Use ‘Toilet Trick’ to Steal Wallet
On the evening of Tuesday, September 13, two men showed up at the victim’s house on Bere Road, asking to use the toilet. They spent a few minutes inside before leaving.
Moments later, the elderly victim realised his blazer, with his wallet inside, had vanished. The crooks then used his Post Office account to withdraw a whopping £560 in cash.
Police Describe Suspects – Can You Help?
- One man: white with tanned skin, around 5ft 4ins, wearing a white top with a small tree logo on the chest.
- The other: white with tanned skin, around 5ft 10ins, overweight, also in a white top with a tree logo.
Detective Constable Jonathan Duggan of the Northern Investigation Team said, “I want to hear from anyone who saw these men or anything suspicious nearby at the time.”
