Lambeth Bridge Shuts Down After Distressed Person Alert

Emergency Services Swarm the Scene

Police have closed Lambeth Bridge this afternoon after responding to a call about a distressed person. The drama unfolded around 3pm on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

Up to five emergency vehicles, including fire trucks, descended on the site, sealing off access to the south side of the bridge. A police car, cordoned off with tape, blocks entry, leaving motorists stranded.

Chaos on the East Side

The incident is centred on the bridge’s east side, where multiple officers and police vans gathered. Witnesses report seeing at least five police cars and police boats deployed in a heavy response.
