Knife Horror at Tattoo Studio Near Canterbury Cathedral
Armed cops and paramedics swarmed GothInk Studio on Lower Bridge Street, Canterbury, after two people were found stabbed on Monday afternoon. The emergency response was intense, with two air ambulances and two land ambulances rushed to the scene.
Major Crime Unit Takes Over Investigation
Detectives from Kent and Essex Major Crime teams were spotted entering the tattoo parlour in the evening. The front windows were covered with blue and green tarps as officers sealed off the area. The road between St George’s roundabout and Burgate remains closed while investigations continue.
Shocking Claims from Locals
A witness on the Canterbury residents’ page said a man allegedly killed his girlfriend before trying to take his own life inside the studio, which is located just yards from Canterbury Cathedral. It’s unclear if any arrests have been made so far.
Emergency Services Overwhelmed
At the scene, officers were seen removing oxygen tanks, first aid kits, and drugs belonging to the South East Coast Ambulance Service. Kent Police confirmed they were called at around 5.20pm on Monday after receiving reports of two injured people.
Kent Police said: “We are currently attending premises in Lower Bridge Street, Canterbury, following a report of two people found with injuries. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident.”
