West London Stabbing Sparks Major Road Closure
A busy west London road is shut after a stabbing early this morning. A man in his twenties was found with a stab wound in Gomer Gardens at around 4 am. Luckily, his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
Fight Erupts in Teddington Car Park
The violent incident reportedly started during a scuffle between a group in a car park on Teddington High Street. The affected stretch is the A313 High Street between A309 Waldegrave Road and A310 Kingston Road, forcing a full road closure in both directions and causing major disruption today, January 1.
Police Launch Probe — No Arrests Yet
“An investigation is underway after a man was injured in a stabbing in Teddington,” said a Metropolitan Police spokesperson. “Police were called at 4:24 a.m. on Monday, January 1, after reports of a man in his 20s found with a stab wound in Gomer Gardens.”
Officers and London Ambulance Service paramedics attended the scene. The victim was rushed to hospital where his condition was confirmed as stable.
“It’s believed the man was assaulted during a fight involving a group of people in a car park on Teddington High Street a short time earlier at approximately 4 a.m. Further inquiries are ongoing. Witnesses are urged to call 101 quoting CAD 1827/01Jan. No arrests have been made so far.”
