Man, 65, Arrested Over Brutal Romford Murder
A 65-year-old man was arrested on Friday, 18 May, at a Romford address on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at an East London police station as the investigation heats up.
Woman Found Dead at Romford Home
Police were called by London Ambulance Service at 11:31am on Tuesday, 15 May following reports of a woman found dead at a property on Ashmour Gardens, Romford. Officers pronounced the woman, believed to be 85-year-old Rosina Coleman, dead at the scene.
Cause of Death Revealed
A post-mortem at Queen’s Hospital, Romford, on Thursday, 17 May confirmed blunt force trauma to the head and neck as the cause of death. Formal identification is pending, but police are confident the victim is Rosina Coleman.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Inspector Paul Considine of the Homicide and Major Crime Command leads the inquiry. He said:
“While we’ve made an arrest, our investigation into Rosina’s murder is ongoing. I urge anyone who was in Ashmour Gardens on 15 May to come forward. Every piece of information helps us bring the person responsible to justice.”
