Man Arrested After Brutal Assault at Swindon Bus Station

Wiltshire Police have arrested a man following a savage attack at Swindon bus station late last night. The victim, a man in his 40s, suffered serious head injuries after being repeatedly struck with an unknown object.

Violent Attack Sparks Police Investigation

The shocking assault happened around 11:50 PM on 18 July. Emergency services raced to the scene after reports of violence at the busy bus station. The victim was rushed to hospital but has since been discharged.

Suspect in Custody as Police Hunt More Witnesses

A man, also in his 40s, was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm.

Police have sealed off parts of the bus station and nearby Western Street, Old Town, while officers comb for evidence.
