Man Arrested After Dramatic Maidstone Crash Leaves Car Overturned
A man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving following a shocking crash in Maidstone that saw one car overturned on a busy road.

The smash happened just after 1:10 PM on August 29 on Upper Stone Street involving two vehicles. The impact was so fierce that one car flipped over, landing in Lower Stone Street.

A local witness who raised the alarm said one of the men involved staggered into a nearby shop to recover before being taken to Pembury hospital.
“I don’t know how it happened, but he sat in the shop recovering. I’m not sure if it was shock or something, but he didn’t want to talk,” said Mark, who witnessed the aftermath.
