Man Arrested After Armed Swop Shakes Portsmouth Street
Armed Threat Sparks Police Response
Police were called to Twyford Avenue, Stamshaw, at 6.45pm yesterday after reports of a man waving a gun around. Officers rushed in with an armed response unit to keep the public safe.
Imitation Firearm Seized, Suspect in Custody
At a nearby address on 1 Avenue, police confiscated a realistic-looking imitation firearm. A 35-year-old Portsmouth man was promptly arrested on suspicion of possessing the fake gun in public.
