22-year-old man arrested over stabbing near Archway Station
Young Victim in Critical Condition
A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a violent stabbing near Archway Station left a victim fighting for life.
Police were called at 10:28pm on Saturday, February 15, following reports that a man in his 20s had been rushed to hospital with stab wounds. The assault took place in Navigator Square, N19, close to the station.
The victim remains in hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Police Launch Full Investigation
A crime scene remains active in Navigator Square as forensic teams comb the area for evidence. Officers arrested the 22-year-old suspect on Sunday, February 16, who is now in police custody.
Detective Inspector Calls for Witnesses
Detective Inspector Anna Deighton of Central North Local Investigations said: “Our officers worked quickly to establish where this assault occurred, putting a cordon in place and carrying out inquiries in the area. Yesterday evening, a man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and he remains in custody.”
“Residents and visitors will have noticed an increased police presence whilst this investigation continues. Officers are out on reassurance patrols to answer any questions.”
