Teen Arrested After Murder Shock in Fareham
Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy from Gosport over the murder of 29-year-old Michael Deary in Fareham. The suspect remains in custody as the investigation continues.
Tragic Discovery at Omaha Close
Michael’s body was found at his flat in Omaha Close at around 12:40pm on Monday 20 August. The community is reeling from the shocking crime.
Police Plea to Witnesses
Detective Superintendent Scott Clarke said: “We’d like to thank the community for all of their support so far, particularly the residents of Omaha Close. We’re continuing to speak to people who knew Michael or lived nearby to understand his activity towards the end of last week.”
Reassurance for Local Residents
Fareham District Chief Inspector Sharon Woolrich added: “We understand that this is concerning for some of our residents. We’ve been visiting people living in Omaha Close with the housing provider to make sure we address any specific concerns in partnership.
