A man in his 50s was found dead on Monk’s Park Lane shortly after 1.30am on Good Friday, after an alleged hit-and-run left him fatally injured.

Two Men Arrested Over Fatal Drink Driving Incident

Warwickshire Police have arrested two men, aged 23 and 74, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous and drink driving, as well as failing to stop at the scene. Both have since been bailed as investigations continue.

Police Urge Public to Help with Red Mercedes Van Leads

PC Craig Pearson from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit issued an urgent appeal for witnesses. He urged anyone who saw or has footage of a red Mercedes Vito van near the crime scene to come forward.

“I’m keen to speak to anyone who saw or has video footage of a red Mercedes Vito van in the area around the time of the incident. Please check CCTV, doorbell cameras, and dashcam footage,” Pearson said.

Supporting the Victim’s Family

Police confirmed the victim’s family is being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer during this difficult time. Anyone with information is urged to report it online or call 101, quoting incident number 25 of 3 April 2026.
