Sheffield Mystery: Man Found Unconscious on Martin Street

Detectives are hunting for answers after a man in his 60s was found unconscious on Martin Street, Upperthorpe, Sheffield. A passerby discovered him at around 7am on Saturday, September 30. He was rushed to hospital and remains in critical but stable condition.

Police Zero In With CCTV Clues

Officers have pieced together CCTV footage showing the victim leaving Sheffield city centre at 2.29am, strolling towards the University Square roundabout.

“We know the victim left the city centre and was captured on CCTV walking towards the University Square roundabout at 2.29 am that morning,” said Detective Constable Kevin Sibley, leading the probe.

Police want locals who were near Martin Street in the early hours, or anyone with dashcam footage, to come forward immediately. DC Sibley stressed:

“If you have witnessed anything suspicious or remember seeing this man, or have any footage, please could you make contact with us on 101 and quote investigation number 14/175278/23.”
