Man Held After Serious Assault Rocks Goole

A man is in police custody following a serious assault on Boothferry Road in Goole this evening, Wednesday 3 April. Officers were called just after 5.25pm to the scene.

Police Respond to Incident

123 Detective Superintendent Nicola Burnett addressed the public, saying: “I understand the significant police presence in Goole and nearby areas tonight might have worried local residents.”

Isolated Incident, No Wider Threat

She reassured: “We believe this was an isolated incident involving people known to each other. There is no wider threat to the public.”

Extra Patrols and Public Appeal

“We have extra officers in the area to investigate and provide reassurance. I urge anyone with concerns or information to come forward.”
