Walworth Horror: Man Smashed in Head with Bottle

Police have scrambled to Walworth Road after a brutal bottle attack in the early hours of Sunday. The Met has sealed off a huge crime scene at the junction of Boundary Lane and Albany Road.

Bloody Scene Outside Methodist Church

Officers arrived around 5am to find a man in his 20s slashed and bleeding near the Methodist Church. A bloody towel covered the pavement as three police cars and nine officers stood guard.

Victim Taken to Hospital – No Arrest Yet

The victim was rushed to hospital with cuts to his head. Thankfully, police say his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at around 05:00hrs on Sunday, 13 November, to a disturbance in Camberwell Road, SE5. Officers found a man with cuts, reportedly struck with a bottle. No arrests have been made.”

Detectives urge anyone who saw the attack or has information to call 101 quoting reference 1467/13nov.
