Merseyside Police are ready to tackle any protests after a wave of recent unrest and rampant online chatter about more demonstrations brewing.
Police Chief Vows to Keep the Peace
Assistant Chief Constable Jenny Sims addressed growing concerns, saying, “We know there’s speculation online about future protests in Merseyside. I want everyone to know we’re fully prepared to deal with anyone looking to cause trouble.”
Recent weeks have seen several protests turn violent, pushing police to ramp up security to protect locals and public safety.
Calls for Public Vigilance and Cooperation
ACC Sims stressed the priority is keeping communities safe. “We have solid plans in place and will not tolerate behaviour that risks the peace or people’s wellbeing.”
She urged residents to stay informed through official sources and report suspicious activity. “If you see anything suspicious or have concerns, contact us immediately.”

Merseyside Police are teaming up with local leaders and organisations to tackle root causes and build community unity.
“We’re committed to working together to keep Merseyside safe and build a stronger, more resilient community,” said ACC Sims.
The force emphasised its respect for peaceful protest but warned it will crack down hard on anyone stirring violence or disruption.
