Police Car Rammed in High-Speed East London Chase
Two suspects are in custody after a dramatic car chase ended with a police vehicle being rammed in east London.
BMW Flees Police, Rams Cop Car
Officers from the Met’s 1 Command rushed to help colleagues after their patrol car was struck by a silver BMW on Tuesday, August 17. The chase started in the 1 area and spilled over into Essex as the BMW tried to escape.
False Plates and Fake Gun Found
The silver BMW was believed to be sporting false number plates. After the vehicle was stopped, Met Police recovered an imitation firearm during a search.
Two Arrested After Incident
The Met confirmed that two people were arrested at the scene. The case is being investigated by the Roads and Transport division.
