Mindless Theft Put Lives as risk after theft of USAR Fire Fighter Equipment
On the 10th October between midnight and daylight a vehicle was broken into in Southampton. It happened hours after a major rescue involving the USAR team where a young-seven-year-old was successfully rescued from a capped well in Hampshire. The mindless thieves stole the contents of the vehicle belonging to an Urban Search and Rescue Members (USAR) which included P.P.E along with technical rope harness. Other equipment stolen
- An F3 usar red helmet badged and named on the side with alpkit gamma torch attached.
- A tunic and leggings with ‘Urban Search and Rescue’ on the back along with Hampshire patches on the arms and name tape and tallies on the chest.
- A set of orange coveralls with Urban Search and Rescue on the back in blue and a Hampshire badge on the arm and name tape on the chest.
- A 5.11 rush 72 pack in black with a medic pouch attached containing various serious trauma medical items.
If anyone sees/hears or is offered any of the above, please contact Hampshire Fire and Rescue or Hampshire Police quoting crime ref number 44160382380 If the thief is reading this and wants to return the equipment, it can be dropped outside any fire station in Hampshire.
