Eastleigh Firm’s Beloved ‘Sheila’ Twizy Vandalised – Business Hit Hard!
Unique Car Targeted in Shocking Vandalism
DA Training and Consultancy, an Eastleigh-based company, is counting the cost after their iconic Renault Twizy, affectionately named ‘Sheila’ by staff, was vandalised overnight on Friday 19th April. The eco-friendly vehicle was parked outside their HQ at Wessex House, Upper Market Street, when the damage occurred.
‘Sheila’ is More Than Just a Car – She’s Marketing Magic
Managing Director Lorna Carter-Blake said the Twizy plays a vital role in their marketing strategy. “She is a huge part of our marketing programme through everyday use and by taking her to events we attend and host,” Lorna explains. “Without her, there is a massive hole in our marketing and income streams.”
As a small local business, DA Training cannot afford the hit. The Twizy is essential for staff travel to meetings and for promoting their free qualifications helping Hampshire residents facing redundancy. Its absence is a serious blow during their peak season for advertising apprenticeships.
Call for Witnesses to Help Catch Vandals
Lorna added, “She is like another member of our team and features regularly in our social media posts.” The company is urging anyone who saw suspicious activity that night to come forward.
