Multi-Vehicle Smash Shuts M27 Eastbound Near Southampton
A serious multi-vehicle crash has shut all eastbound lanes of the M27 between Junction 1 and 2 early this Sunday morning.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Hampshire Police and emergency crews were called out just after 2am. Multiple vehicles were involved in the collision, with several people reported injured. Three ambulances, an ambulance officer, and a HART paramedic are on site providing urgent care.
Traffic Chaos and Diversions in Place
Drivers heading eastbound are being forced to leave the A31 at the Cadnam Lane Roundabout due to the closure. The westbound lanes towards Bournemouth remain open and unaffected.
Investigation and Arrests Underway
Police say a number of arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Specialist teams are expected to keep the road closed until at least 8am as they investigate.
